Brynn Marion
Painter/Photographer
Brynn Marion has been creating art in school and at home for fun since she was a small child. Brynn took a significant interest in art, painting specifically, when she reached high school, where she participated in competitions, winning an FMCC 24th Annual Regional High School Art Exhibition Juror’s Choice Award, and also participated in several other local and online art shows during that period which lead to Brynn being awarded a Scholastic Art & Writing Silver Key Award for Painting.
“All art I have ever seen or created is communicating something, perhaps even several disparate things, whether the artist intended it or not. Creating art is a visual expression of whatever you want it to be, so for me, I make art that makes me happy and helps me enjoy the wonder that can be found in the world. As for the interpretations of others, I welcome whatever seems to spring from the paint I laid down in place of words. Learning more about art history, the language of art, and different methods of critique, interpretation, and assessment are things I find invaluable to growth as an artist, so I do my best to engage in as many conversations and discussions and lectures as I can. I think art can and will be employed in every manner imaginable across the globe, but what I find to be the best art of all is just what I connect with or find the most engaging. That is why I make what I love, why I challenge myself to always improve, and why I push the ideas of what I resonate with and what I want to say further and further every time I create something new.”
