Mei He

Mei He (aka Yun Yi) is an artist originally from China. She has a Bachelor's degree in fine art (painting major) from Sichuan Fine Art Institute, China, a master degree in computer art from Savannah College of Art and Design, USA. Mei He excels both at traditional art and computer digital art. Prior to her life in USA, she taught art at college level for years (Chengdu Teacher's College). In USA, she worked in the video game industry (Vicarious Visions, Inc.). Later she became a professional artist, who created countless works of art for numerous customers. Currently, Mei He works as a private art educator at Mei Studio.

“I am professionally trained artist but I would rather keep art as a hobby. I view art as both expression and appreciation of life. I am a nature lover and my favorite subject to paint is trees. I love the way trees interact with light, and I try to capture the subtleness of the color changes. I also try to find beauty in plain subjects. Subject matters are never an issue to me, as I believe what makes an art work great is not the subject, but how it was rendered.”
