Simona Zecca

Simona Zecca has always loved art since she was a child. Simona is a self-taught artist and believes in the impossible can be made possible. She continued to cultivate her passion for art during the school years and even in the period when she worked in the marketing field. Simona loves studying new media and various techniques and over the years she has experimented with various forms, from graphite to watercolor, from acrylic and airbrush to oil.

“In 2015 I decided to leave my office job, following the ever-present call of art to which I began to devote myself full-time. I started initially by customizing helmets and motorcycle parts with airbrush and at the same time expressing myself through my paintings on canvas. In 2019 I began to exhibit my works, immediately receiving an excellent response from public and critics and obtaining various awards.”

“I love realism and hyperrealism as long it does not border on the mere perfect reproduction of reality but instead it becomes as a tool to deepen the soul of the subject. I prefer female portraits and t I am also exploring a more conceptual portrait style. I have always been particularly focused on the expressiveness of the gaze.”
