“As an artist I try to achieve a finished painting that combines both traditional and contemporary styles. I feel that I am unique in this approach. I call my style "exaggerated realism". I use a graphic, cubic and hard edge approach. My paintings are clean and crisp with a limited palette and a strong contrast of colors and shadows. I have always found nature's beauty and man's influence on the landscape intriguing. I often create my own scenes. Even though I am basically self-taught, I did take an abstract studio art course. This course did help me connect my traditional realism with a contemporary style which is reflected in any current work. I have won over 50 awards in local and national shows. My art can be found at local galleries, Jbis Contemporary Gallery, Schenectady NY, Gallery 5one Clifton Park NY, Picture Perfect Canajoharie NY and Saunders Fine Art Glens Falls NY.”
“I pant what I feel and let my mind wonder until a concept comes to mind and I then fine tune the idea.”
