Victor Ovsyannikov
Painter
Victor Ovsyannikov was born in 1947 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute. After graduation, he devoted himself entirely to scientific work and architecture (history and theory of housing, sociology, psychology, environmental protection), in the name of the man - the creator and the living environment of the consumer. He was well known among researcher’s in Russia and he had several scientific publications. However, throughout all of this, Victor had kept his love for drawing and painting, but was not able to give himself to them fully, and only occasionally allowed himself to contact his favorite watercolors. During this time, he did not make more than a dozen watercolor sketches, which had little to do with today's painting.
Victor became a full time in 2015. Since then, he has created more than 150 works in a variety of artistic techniques and styles. It was a difficult but fruitful search for him in art, to find a style that began to emerge in the last few dozen paintings. The artist remains faithful only to his addiction to the technique of painting water-based - watercolor and acrylic. This technique allows him to create a unique style of writing, using such properties of water-based paints, transparency, lightness, ease and if you want - writing speed is virtually impossible in the technique of oil painting. His watercolors, along with transparency, acquire the density and depth, typical pasty painting techniques and work in acrylic characterized by a combination of dense, opaque watercolor technique with almost spontaneous picturesque water paints.
