- Songs of the Soul is a collection of poetry by three young writers who represent diverse backgrounds. Sharon Belle, who writes under her first and middle names and paints under her surname (Hawkshawe), is a corporate executive. Charles Charlton graduated in the top of his class from Vanderbilt University. His interests include music and acting as well as creative writing. Justin Lopp is a young writer who is just embarking upon his career. The poems in this collection provide perspectives on various subjects that are included under the subtitles of God, Reflections, Memories, Love, Life, Beyond, and Infinity. Paintings by Sharon Hawkshawe enhance and enrich the reader interpretation of the poems. At the same time, the poems provide another dimension for the reader interpretations of the paintings. It is hoped that the poems and paintings, herein, will resonate with the reader. Includes an introduction by world renowned poet, Nikki Giovanni. Publisher: Barnhardt & Ashe Publishing, Inc.
